REA SPRATT ACHIEVES €2,525,000 FOR FARM AT PUBLIC AUCTION

Spratts on Friday the 24th of October offered a c.175 acre Residential holding for Sale by Public Auction at the Park Hotel, Dungarvan. Spratts Joint Auctioneers with Collins O'Meara received a high level of enquiries pre-auction which resulted in a packed Auction Room and adjoining corridor for the 3pm start. The high level of interest in this farm was reflected on the day by the attendance of a number of Solicitors, Auctioneers and a high representation from the Aglish Community in addition to a number of interested parties. 

The property was initially offered for sale in three lots. Post a number of rounds of bidding, the interest expressed dictated that the sub lots were withdrawn and the property was solely offered for sale in its entirety. The farm went on the market at €2,300,000 and the hammer fell at €2,525,000 post receiving 22 bids. The farm was purchased by a Cork based Solicitor in trust for their client.
