HAMMER FALLS AT €2,400,000 AT KILKENNY AUCTION

REA Spratt in conjunction with Joint Agents Barry Murphy Auctioneers offered an 80 acre Agri Holding for sale by Public Auction on Friday the 30th of October in the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny. The farm was initially offered for sale to the crowded room in three lots. Bidding was quite brisk from the outset with competitive bidding for all three lots. Post a number of rounds of bidding, Lots 1 and 2 were formally withdrawn with instructions given to put the Lot 3 The Entire Farm on the market. The hammer fell at €2,400,000 greeted by a spontaneous round of applause by the attendance the majority of which who were sitting on the edge of their seats. The final and successful bid equated to €30,000 per acre, a significant price which reflected the quality of this subject impressive holding located only 3.6km from the Kilkenny City Inner Relief Road.
